About Me

Lene

Hi, I'm Lene, a mother, midwife, qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher DipHb(KG) and the founder of Little Additions.

Since qualifying as a midwife in 2005 I have worked in the NHS caring for women and their families during pregnancy, labour and birth and during the postnatal period. My experience includes working both in a high risk obstetric setting and in a midwifery-led setting.

I now work as a community midwife and assist at homebirths at Kingston Hospital allowing me to provide continuity of care for women at a very special time in their life.

As a midwife I also facilitate and teach antenatal classes for couples which I enjoy very much and offering hypnobirthing classes seems a natural addition to my role and skills. The course I trained on is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

More recently I’ve also added aromatherapy to my skills set.

I'm passionate about supporting women and their families enabling them to experience a calm, positive and empowering pregnancy and birth using hypnobirthing.

“My boyfriend and I had a hypnobirthing refresher via Zoom and couldn’t recommend Lene enough. It was personalised to our specific needs, we were provided with so much information and we came away feeling fully informed and confident in our decisions. Thank you Lene”

“Lene talked to us about worries, anxieties and how to work together as a team. It made us think differently about the process of birth and made us feel more positive and prepared for the birth of our child. The relaxation exercises have been extremely helpful”
